There is one pick tonight.
Milwaukee Brewers (+161) on the ML against LA Dodgers risking 3% to win 4.83%.
(Chacin and Buehler must start for wager to have action)
The LA Dodgers managed to snap the Milwaukee Brewers' 12-game winning streak in Game 2 of the NLCS, coming away with a narrow 4-3 victory to even up the series and a game apiece. Tonight, they will square off in what could be a pivotal Game 3.
For the Dodgers, they will send Walker Buehler to the mound tonight. Buehler has been a welcome addition to the Dodgers rotation this season and has put up some impressive numbers at home. He is 4-2 with a 1.34 ERA in 12 starts at Dodger Stadium this season. While his numbers looked good in the regular season, the postseason can be a completely different beast, especially for a young pitcher. Buehler has already had a taste of the postseason pressure, and it wasn't kind to him. In Game 3 of the NLDS, he gave up 5 runs in 5 innings of work against the Atlanta Braves. While he will be looking to rebound tonight, it won't come easy against a Milwaukee team that has been red-hot at the plate.
The Brewers will send Jhoulys Chacin to the mound for the 36th time tonight. Chacin has had a great season in Milwaukee and has become arguably their most consistent starter this season. He doesn't typically go deep into games, averaging just 5.2 innings per start, but the innings that he does give his club are quality. Over his last 15.7 innings of work, he has given up just 2 runs on 5 hits! What's most impressive about that is those starts came against some of the most offensively explosive teams in the league in the St Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies. He is a veteran and should not have any issues with pitching on the big-stage.
We expect another close game tonight, but it's hard to ignore the value that Milwaukee is presenting given their recent track record. Buehler is an unproven in the postseason at this point and should not be laying these hefty odds in this matchup. The value is clearly on Milwaukee in this bounce back spot.
