There is one NBA pick tonight.

Washington Wizards -1 spread against LA Clippers for 3% of the bankroll.

The Washington Wizards appear like a team in complete disarray at the moment. They are just 5-11 on the season and have dropped their last two games. While there is certainly plenty of time to turn things around, especially considering the amount of talent on this Washington roster, there are still many that are ready to push the panic button on this team. Tempers are flaring and starting to boil over and the media is having a field day covering the struggles of this team. That is where we aim to benefit.

This is a matchup that is certainly winnable for Washington at home, but the recent perception of these teams has been skewed a bit by the media. While it's all negative surrounding Washington, the LA Clippers have been receiving rave reviews from the media this season. They are 11-5 on the year and have been impressive as of late, winning 5 straight and 7 of their last 8. They are a team that the public has been starting to take notice on and we see their stock rising. This is the exact moment where everyone seems to buy in on one-side and are left scratching their heads at the end of the game, wondering how the perceived "better team" lost. We believe that is going to happen here.

We had a similar situation last night when we faded the Jazz after their big win over Boston and chose to ride an Oladipo-less Pacers team and we all saw how that turned out. It was a 20+ point win for the home team. We're not saying that the Wizards will win this game by 20, but to get them at home at a virtual pick'em price, given how low their stock is at the moment, is simply too much value to pass up. They will hit the floor motivated tonight to not only turn around their recent skid, but to also temporarily silence the naysayers. This is also the last stop on a three-game road trip for the Clippers and will get a couple nights off after tonight before heading back home. Given the struggles in Washington, they could come into this matchup a bit overconfident, or worse, looking ahead to some much-needed rest. Either way, we believe this is a bad spot for the visitors and an ideal one to back a struggling Wizards team at home. Washington finds a way to put their difference aside for one night and picks up the victory at home.
