There is one pick tonight.
Take Washington Nationals (+107) on the ML against Baltimore Orioles risking 3% to win 3.21%.
(Hellickson and Bundy must start for wager to have action.)
Washington managed to take the season opener 6-0 yesterday behind a three-run homer from Anthony Rendon and 7 2/3 scoreless innings from Gio Gonzalez. That pitching performance marked the sixth time in the last seven games that the Nationals staff held an opponent to three or fewer runs. They will look to keep that momentum going tonight as Jeremy Hellickson takes the mound.
Hellickson, who made 10 starts for Baltimore in the last half of 2017 before signing with Washington in the offseason, has pitched well this season, surrendering one or no runs in each of his last four appearances. The Orioles have been struggling at the plate, which should give Hellickson the advantage tonight. Baltimore has scored 3 or fewer runs in 11 of their last 13 games.
Dylan Bundy will take the mound opposite of Hellickson tonight and while he is coming off an impressive outing against the White Sox, the right-hander has been anything but reliable this season, going just 3-6 with a 4.45 ERA. He given up 26 earned runs in his last 31 innings pitched and has given up 4 earned runs or more in 4 of his last 6 starts. The Washington offense has been heating up as of late, scoring an average of 6 runs per game over their last 4 contests. If Bundy struggles on the mound tonight, the Nationals' bats should be able to capitalize.
These two teams are currently trending in opposite directions and getting the Nationals as underdogs in this matchup is simply too much value to pass up on. It will likely be a close game, but we expect the Washington bats to come away with the timely hits late to secure the victory.
