There is one pick today.
Take New York Mets (+139) on the ML against Milwaukee Brewers risking 3% to win 4.17%.
(Matz and Davies must start for wager to have action.)
New York started the season on fire, racing to an 11-1 start but things have cooled considerably for the team since that point. The Mets’ loss Tuesday dropped them to 13-19 since their start, and losers of two straight, however, we believe tonight's matchup is just what they need to get themselves back into the win column.
The Milwaukee Brewers are a quality team this season, however, they should be at quite a disadvantage on the mound tonight. Zach Davies will be making activated from the disabled list tonight and will be in line to make his first starts in nearly a month.
When Davies had started the season this year, after a long offseason, He was rocked in two of his first three starts, including a 4 1/3-inning outing against the Mets in which he was tagged for five runs and two homers. This is another situation where Davies has had an extended layoff and we wouldn't be surprised if he was a bit rusty in the early going. If that proves to be the case, the Mets could take advantage of that opportunity and put some early runs on the board.
While the Brewers certainly have the advantage of being at home, Davies is a wildcard in this contest. We have seen lengthy layoffs mess with a pitcher’s mechanics and if that happens to Davies tonight, the Mets could have an opportunity to steal a win here. The value is on the road team tonight.
