There is one pick today.
Take Chicago White Sox (+115) on the ML against Baltimore Orioles risking 3% to win 3.45%.
(Covey and Cobb must start for wager to have action.)
The Chicago White Sox pulled off a late game rally last night as they managed to score 3 runs in the 8th inning to ultimately 'steal' a 3-2 victory last night in Game 2 of this four-game set. It was an emotional win for the White Sox while it was a crushing defeat for their opponents and we expect those emotions to carry into this game tonight.
Alex Cobb may be the more well-known pitcher in this matchup, however, he that name hasn't carried much weight this season. Cobb struggled early in the season, surrendering 17 earned runs in his first three starts. While he has rebounded (somewhat) he does come into this contest with a 1-5 record to go along with a 6.56 ERA and WHIP of 1.85. He has been an extremely hittable pitcher, as opponents are batting an impressive .373 against him in 35 innings of work this season.
The White Sox will counter by sending youngster Dylan Covey to the mound. The 26-year-old took a tough-luck loss in his first start this season, tossing six innings of four-run ball on the road against the Royals on April 28. Although he hasn't had success in the big leagues in his career (he's still searching for his first major league victory) he has been pitching well in Triple-A so far this season. Covey has gone 3-1 with a 2.33 ERA in seven minor league starts this year and given that the Orioles don't have much experience against him, we expect Covey could be in line to pick up his first major league win tonight.
It's hard to trust the Orioles on the road, especially as the favorites since they are just 5-20 on the highway this season. This has been a close series thus far and we don't expect much will change tonight. With momentum and the home crowd on their side, we expect the White Sox to make the timely hits needed late to pull off a nice underdog win.
