There is one pick tonight.

Take Cincinnati Reds (+125) on the ML against San Francisco Giants risking 3% to win 3.75%.
(Romano and Stratton must start for wager to have action.)

After starting the season losing 15 of their first 18 games, the betting public had completely lost faith and have largely overlooked the Cincinnati Reds. Injuries had played a large part in the Reds' early season struggles, but over the past couple of weeks they have started to get healthy and now find themselves as one of the hottest teams in the league at the moment. Cincinnati is playing great baseball, having won 6 straight, including an impressive 4-game sweep of the defending NL Champion Los Angeles Dodgers. They now travel to AT&T Park to open a series with a struggling San Francisco Giants team.

The Giants were a team that had high hopes this season, and yet have widely failed to live up to expectations. They are one-game under .500 this season and have lost 6 of their last 7 games. Chris Stratton will take the mound for the Giants tonight and he has been struggling in his most recent outings. Over his last 3 starts, he is 1-2 with a 10.50 ERA and WHIP of 2.25 over 12 innings. He has been one of the more hittable pitchers in the league and that doesn't bode well against a red-hot Cincinnati lineup. Stratton hasn't fared much better at home this season ad he is just 1-1 with a 6.92ERA and WHIP of 1923 in 3 home starts, lasting just an average of 4.3 innings per contest.

Sal Romano will take the mound for the Reds and while he had struggled in the early part of the season, he seems to be finding his groove as of late, producing three straight quality starts. Over his last 3 appearances, he has a 2.25 ERA and WHIP of 1.125 while giving up 2 runs or less in each of those contests. This will be his first appearance against the Giants and given San Francisco's struggles at the plate recently, he should hold the advantage in the early innings of this matchup.

It's difficult to trust a team like the Reds, however, they are playing their best ball of the season at the moment. As underdogs, the value is certainly there to expect that they will extend their recent winning streak against a struggling opponent.
