There is one pick tonight.
Take San Francisco Giants (+111) on the ML against Pittsburgh Pirates risking 3% to win 3.33%.
(Suarez and Taillon must start for wager to have action.)
Andrew Suarez will be making make his fourth start of the season, targeting his second straight win. He was stellar in his previous start, limiting the Braves to one run in five innings, leading to his first win of the season. The young left-hander has pitched well in his three starts, allowing only seven runs (six earned) in 17.2 innings, resulting in a 3.06 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP. Suarez has been filling in due to injuries to Cueto and Bumgarner and has shown improvement each and every time he has stepped onto the mound. As his comfort level and confidence continues to grow, Suarez could carve himself out a spot in the rotation. This will mark his first career start against the Pirates and that could give him an advantage on the mound in the early parts of this game, as Pittsburgh's lineup doesn't have much experience against the youngster.
Jameson Taillon will toe the rubber for the Pirates tonight and to say he has been struggling would be an understatement. Taillon hasn't won since April 8th and comes into this contest sporting a 4.42 ERA and WHIP of 1.280. He has also struggled mightily against the Giants in his career, serving up 13 runs in just 9 innings in his two career appearances. Both Joes Panik and Buster Posey each have 3 RBIs against Taillon and Posey appears to be dialed in at the moment. Over his last 6 games, the catcher has 11 hits to go along with 5 RBIs over his last six games. If Taillon continues to struggle on the mound, it could be a short night once against a Giant's lineup who will be motivated to end their 3-game skid.
This should be a close, lower scoring game and we find it interesting that this line is where it is given that Pittsburgh has their 'ace' on the mound, pitching opposite a relative unknown. Taillon has struggled against the Giants in his career and we see that happening again tonight. San Francisco does just enough at the plate to come away with the victory.
