There is one pick tonight.
Take LA Dodgers (-120) on the ML against San Diego Padres risking 3.60% to win 3%.
(Buehler and Lucchessi must start for wager to have action.)
For much of the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers having looked like the reigning National League champions, however, they are coming off a strong ending to their series with the division leading Arizona Diamondbacks and that should give them momentum heading into this series with a Padres team who they have already dominated in a series this season. They will have a good chance at continuing their dominance tonight with Walker Buehler on the mound.
Buehler has been limited to five innings in each of his first two career starts this season but has more than held his own in both, including his most recent start against San Francisco, where he earned the win after allowing two runs and striking out six. Prior to that outing, he settled for a no-decision against Miami but was nearly flawless in the costs, giving up zero earned runs over five frames. What has been most impressive thus far is the fact that he has yet to allow an extra-base hit this season (10 singles). He faces San Diego for the first time in his career tonight, and if he continues to pitch as he has been, could be in for another impressive start in this contest.
The Padres will turn to Joey Lucchesi tonight. He's been fairly solid overall, giving up 2 earned runs of less in four of his six starts this season, however, we believe he is going to run into a buzz saw tonight against a Dodgers team that should have their confidence back. This game is being played in Mexico, which gives neither team and advantage, so with that said, the Dodgers are the overall better team and at these odds, it's worth backing them to come away with the eventual win.
