There is one MLB pick tonight.
Take New York Yankees (-138) on the ML against Toronto Blue Jays risking 4.14% to win 3%.
(Tanaka and Sanchez must start for wager to have action)
The New York Yankees made major headlines in the offseason by acquiring the reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton and that move paid off in spades in the Yankees season opener last night. Stanton went 3 for 5 on the night with a pair of home runs, a double and four RBIs. New York's lineup was already full of power-hitters, so the addition of Stanton makes them one of the scariest teams in the entire league. Last night Brett Gardner also added a solo home run, while Gary Sanchez chipped in a double and an RBI of his own to finish off the scoring for the Yanks in the win. Aaron Judge and Neil Walker each added doubles of their own while Aaron Hicks went 2 for 4 and Neil Walker contributed a base hit on the night. For being the first game of the season, the Yankees' bats were red-hot, and we expect that to carry over into Game 2 tonight.
Masahiro Tanaka will take the mound for the Yanks and the Blue Jays have had a lot of trouble with him over the years. Josh Donaldson has hit just .161 in 31 ABs against Tanaka, while Russell Martin, Kendrys Morales, and Justin Smoak have a combined four hits in 49 ABs against the Yankees’ right-hander over the past four seasons. In his last start against the Jays (last season), Tanaka threw 7 innings of shutout ball while piling up 15 strikeouts, so he is certainly capable of silencing this offense tonight. These are good odds to lay on a team that has as much firepower as the Yankees do this early in the season.
