There is one pick tonight. Please note that tip-off for this game is scheduled for 3:30pm EST.
Take Kentucky -5 spread against Georgia for 3% of the bankroll.
The Georgia Bulldogs have had a nice little run in the SEC tournament, coming away with a win over Vanderbilt in their opening contest and followed that up with what many would consider an 'upset' of a solid Missouri team yesterday. While their run has been impressive, we believe their magic will run out today against a well-rested Kentucky Wildcat team.
The Wildcats have had somewhat of a down season than what we have come to expect from a John Calipari led squad, however, towards the end of the season, Kentucky really started to run on all cylinders, putting together an impressive 4-game win streak in which they were completely dominating their competition. They fell in their series finale against Florida and with a few days off to stew over that loss and rest up, they should be the fresher and more motivated team in this contest.
This will be the Bulldogs 3rd game and three days and at some point, fatigue is going to play a factor. While they do have momentum behind them heading into this contest, Kentucky is a team that likes to play at a torrid pace. Georgia is not known as an offensively powerful team and got to this stage in the tournament due to their play on defense. The Bulldogs were able to match Missouri shot-for-shot in what was a lower scoring game yesterday. We don't believe they will have that same kind of success against the Wildcats.
This game may be close for a while, but eventually the Bulldog players will start to tire and that is when Kentucky will open things up on the scoreboard. They need to make a statement and we believe it will come at Georgia’s expense today as Kentucky pulls off the impressive win and cover.
