There is one pick tonight.
Take Baylor +6 spread against West Virginia for 3% of the bankroll.
The Baylor Bears struggled to end the regular season and now find themselves currently on the bubble in terms of making the NCAA Tournament. They will likely need a win in this contest to secure their spot which should only add to their motivation in this contest.
While Baylor is on the bubble, their opponents have secured their spot in the upcoming Big Dance and really have nothing more to play for other than seeding. The Mountaineers managed to sweep the season meeting with Baylor this year and while many believe they should have the advantage in this contest, with two wins under their belt, it is extremely difficult to defeat the same team three times in a season.
Baylor played West Virginia extremely close in their meeting on Jan 9th in Morgantown, before ultimately falling 57-54. Morgantown is one of the toughest venues in the country for opposing teams to play and given the success that Baylor had in that contest, they should once again be able to handle their own in a neutral site contest.
From a motivational standpoint, the edge should lay with the Bears tonight. When they have played with a purpose, they have been an extremely difficult team to contain, on both sides of the basketball. West Virginia is known for their pressure defense; however, their defensive pressure requires the full attention and dedication of their players, and with not much to play for, we wouldn't be surprised to see Baylor crack the pressure defense and put them on their heels.
This should be an entertaining contest, and even if West Virginia is somehow able to pull off the victory, we believe with so much riding on the line for the Bears that at the very least, they should be able to keep things competitive and stay within this rather generous point spread.
