There is one pick tonight.
Take Wake Forest +4 spread against Syracuse for 3% of the bankroll.
It has been an up and down season for Jim Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange, and you never quite know what you are going to get from this team. They have posted some quality wins this year, over the likes of Maryland, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Miami, and Clemson which have many believe the Orange are destined for an at-large bid come tournament time, however, losses to the likes of Boston College, Georgia Tech, and this same Wake Forest team, have the committee looking at Syracuse with a very skeptical eye. The Orange will likely need a deep run in the ACC Tournament to solidify their invitation to the dance.
Syracuse has always been a tough team to play due to their 2-3 zone. Boeheim's defensive scheme is incredibly tough to crack for some teams, however, the teams that have the most success are the ranging shooting teams that can attack from the outside; that is exactly what Wake Forest does. The Deacons are shooting an impressive 38.2% from long-range this season, ranking third in the conference and have the sharpshooters on the wings to render the Syracuse zone ineffective.
These teams are no strangers to each other as they have split the season meetings this year, with each team winning on their home court. Wake has already shown that they can crack the 2-3 zone and have shot better than 43% from 3-point range in their two meetings this season. If their shots are falling, it will be difficult for the inconsistent Syracuse offense to keep pace. This will be a close game, but we believe Wake Forest will pull off the upset and close the door on Syracuse's hopes for an NCAA tournament bid. The points have value in this contest.
