There is one pick today.

Take Northern Illinois +4 spread (buy the half point) against Ball State for 3% of the bankroll.

The perception of this Northern Illinois Huskies team has reached a season low. They have lost 3 straight games, and have not really been very competitive in each, losing two of those three by 29 points or more. Their lack of play on both sides of the ball has clearly skewed the public perception of this team and has led them to believe that they will continue to lose games in blowout fashion; which simply does not usually happen. Yes, the Huskies have struggled, but this is a very good situational spot for them, that we believe they will capitalize on.

The recent struggles of Northern Illinois, all started with their loss to their opponents tonight, the Ball State Cardinals. It was a very mediocre win in which Ball State had a five-point halftime lead and just kept the Huskies at bay in the second half, albeit not very impressively. This is the Huskies chance to gain a manner of revenge on their opponents tonight in an effort to snap their recent skid and have a solid chance of doing just that as their opponents have been struggling themselves.

The Cardinals have dropped two straight games, with their most recent being a 24-point defeat at the hands of Central Michigan as they shot only 36% from the field in that contest. They now must follow up that performance eon the road, where they have struggled offensively. On the season the Cardinals rank 182nd in efficiency, but on the road, they rank 126th in points per game, 167th in field goal percentage and 202nd in 3-point shooting percentage. We wouldn't be surprised to see the Cardinals struggle once again in this contest.

Playing on the road in the MAC conference is incredibly tough and this matchup is no different Northern Illinois has played well at home this season, while the Ball State Cardinals are just 5-9 on the highway. This is also the last home game of the season for the Huskies and while they haven't had much to celebrate, the fact that they will be playing for revenge and a little bit of pride to end the season on a high note will likely be the deciding factor in this one as the Huskies pull off the outright upset tonight.
