There is one pick today.
Take Detroit Tigers (+125) on the ML against Toronto Blue Jays risking 3% to win 3.75%.
(Boyd and Happ must start for wager to have action.)
It's taken them a while, but the Detroit Tigers are starting to play the style of baseball that many expected from them this season. A win today will match their longest winning streak of the season, as they come into this Game 2 matchup with Toronto on a three-game winning streak and winners in 7 of their last 9.
The Toronto Blue Jays meanwhile head into this matchup struggling. The past few weeks have not been kind to the Blue Jays as they have 9 of their last 12 games. Pitching has been a problem for Toronto as both their starting rotation and bullpen have not been sharp and have given up an exorbitant amount of runs during this stretch. The Tigers are seeing the ball well at the moment and that should give them an advantage at the plate in this contest.
The Tigers also received an upgrade to their lineup last night as Miguel Cabrera returned to action after missing the last 4 weeks. In his absence Nick Castellanos took control of the lineup and has homered in his third consecutive three-hit game. Castellanos has multiple hits in eight of his last 12 games, a stretch in which he is 23-for-53. The Blue Jays have some injuries that they are dealing with, so we believe the Tigers will have the advantage on offense in this one.
As good as J.A Happ has pitched for the Jays, Toronto simply cannot be trusted as a favorite, let alone on the road. There is a lot of value backing the team that is playing better baseball, especially considering they are at home once again. Detroit should keep their momentum going and pick up another win this afternoon.
