There is one pick today and it is a play on the Run Line (-1.5 runs).
Take Seattle Mariners (+150) on the RL against Colorado Rockies risking 3% to win 4.50%
(LeBlanc and Senzatela must start for wager to have action.)
The Seattle Mariners are one of the top teams in the AL this season, so it is somewhat surprising that their offense has gone cold in this series against what we believe to be, a very mediocre Colorado pitching rotation. That being said, we expect them to get back on track and find their offense this afternoon as they look to avoid being swept at home by the Rockies.
Wade LeBlanc will get the nod for Seattle in this contest and he has been (arguably) the team's most reliable starting. He is 4-0 with a 3.19 ERA on the season in 12 starts and 17 total appearances. LeBlanc is coming off a start against the Angels where he allowed an earned run over seven innings pitched in a win. The Colorado lineup has some explosive bats in their lineup, however, it should be mentioned that LeBlanc has only allowed more than three earned runs in a start, once this season.
Pitching opposite of LeBlanc this afternoon will be Antonio Senzatela, who is coming off a stellar performance in his first start of the season. While a lot of people have been raving about how good Senzatela looked in that outing, it is worth mentioning that his performance came against the offensively-challenged San Francisco Giants. While his confidence will likely be high heading into this matchup, he is now faced with having to navigate an extremely dangerous Seattle lineup, who is going to be chomping at the bit to get some momentum going offensively.
We don't believe the first two games are a true indication of how this series unfolded. Seattle will not allow themselves to lose this game and get swept at home, especially with LeBlanc on the mound in this matchup. Seattle will generate some much-needed offense in this contest enroute to a series saving victory. We believe the Mariners are primed to win this game, so the value is not laying the chalk on a straight up victory. If Seattle does win, we expect it to be by more than a single run, so the value is on the run line in this matchup.
