There is one pick today.
Take Northwestern +2 spread (buy the half point) against Michigan for 3% of the bankroll.
The Northwestern Wildcats had high hopes at the start of the season, but thus far, have fallen short of their lofty expectations. That being said, this is still a quality team, that has been playing outstanding defense this season. They come into this matchup having won 3 of their last 4 games, with their lone loss during that span coming at the hands of their opponents tonight. This is a classic revenge spot for the Wildcats and will undoubtedly be motivated in this contest.
The first meeting between these teams resulted in an ugly 58-47 victory for the Wolverines in a game that was played in Ann Arbor. With this game now being played on Northwestern's home court, we expect things to play out much differently this time around. The Wildcats have played outstanding defense all season long and the fact that they held 20th ranked Michigan to under 60 points on their home floor is an impressive feat and we wouldn't be surprised if they had similar success tonight defensively.
As added motivation, the Wolverines have dominated this series, with John Beilein's team winning 8 of the last 10. Chris Collins would like nothing more than for his team to not only get back to .500 in league play, but also change the history of this series with a win. It's extremely difficult for a team to defeat the same opponent twice in a season, and even tougher for a ranked team to do it on the road. We believe the oddsmakers listed this spread where they did for a reason. The betting public is heavily backing the Wolverines, but we believe it will be the Wildcats who get their revenge tonight. In what should be a closely contested matchup, we like the home team to even up the series and come away with the outright victory.
