There is one pick tonight.
Take St. Louis Cardinals (+170) on the ML against LA Dodgers risking 3% to win 5.10%.
(Poncedeleon and Ryu must start for wager to have action)
Both teams are currently in the midst of the Wild Card race, which makes this series extremely important for both teams. The Cardinals managed to win the series opener last night and have been playing extremely well as a team over the past couple of weeks. They have quietly won 11 of their last 13 games, including their last 6 straight on the road.
The Dodgers meanwhile have been sputtering, having lost 8 of their last 12 and are really struggling to find any sort of consistency as of late. At first glance, it may appear that LA has the pitching advantage with Hyun-Jin Ryu taking the mound against Daniel Poncedeleon, however, we don't believe the Dodgers can sleep on the rookie. Poncedeleon has been lighting things up in Triple-A this season and was ultra-impressive in his one major league start this season, tossing a no-hitting across 7 innings against the Cincinnati Reds and has been extremely consistent coming out of the bullpen.
Until the Dodgers start to show some consistency, the value in this contest resides with the hotter team. St Louis find a way to get things done again tonight to extend their winning streak.
