There are two picks today..

#1: Take Atlanta Braves (-125) on the ML against Colorado Rockies risking 3.75% to win 3%.
(Sanchez and Marquez must start for wager to have action)

The Atlanta Braves have really struggled this series and currently find themselves in a position to possibly be swept in a 4-game series with the Colorado Rockies. With the end of the season drawing near, each and every game is important, and the Braves simply have not played well in this series. We expect that to change in the finale this afternoon. No team wants to drop 4-straight game, especially at home in front of their fans, so expect an all-out effort from Atlanta in this one.

Meanwhile, Colorado continues to impress, especially on the road, and their confidence must be flying high after yesterday's late-game rally which saw them rally to score 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning with two outs to send the game into extra-innings. DJ LeMathieu then homered in the 10th to complete the comeback, stun the Braves, and hand them an incredibly heartbreaking defeat. It was a hard-fought and emotional win for the Rockies, however, we believe that may be to their detriment this afternoon. They have already secured this as a series win and could come into the finale a little over-confident and unmotivated. If that is indeed the case, it leaves the door wide-open for the Braves to take this game.

Anibal Sanchez has also had tremendous success against the Rockies in his career, going 4-0 with a 1.99 ERA in 6 career starts. Meanwhile, German Marquez has been pitching well this season, but has seriously struggled against this Atlanta lineup and gave up a season-high 7 runs on 7 hits (with 6 walks) against the Braves earlier this season

#2: Take Milwaukee Brewers (+105) on the ML against St. Louis Cardinals risking 3% to win 3.15%
(Chacin and Gant must start for wager to have action)

This is an extremely important game for the Milwaukee Brewers. They have been struggling as of late, having lost 8 of their last 11 and this is certainly not the time in the season where teams can afford to struggle down the stretch. With their recent skid, Milwaukee has fallen out of the second wildcard spot for the first time since early in the season. If they want to keep their playoff hopes alive, they need to turn things around and we believe it starts this afternoon.

Jhoulys Chacin will take the mound for the Brewers in the finale and is winless against St. Louis in his career. While many may look at that as a detriment to his team in this contest, we believe it only adds another layer of motivation. Chacin has been pitching extremely well and is 6-1 in his past 8 starts, with his most recent (arguably) being his most impressive of the season where he struck out a season-high 10 while holding the Chicago Cubs scoreless over 7-innings. We expect he will be motivated in this contest this afternoon.

John Gant has looked good since stepping into the rotation, however, it has been a very small sample size. He was effective in his last 2 outings, however, he looked like a rookie in his disastrous outing against Pittsburgh. The main struggle with the Brewers has been that their pitching staff has consistently given up early inning runs, putting them behind. Chacin has been incredibly consistent and typically doesn't give up much in the early part of the game. We don't believe Gant will be able to go pitch-for-pitch with the much more experienced Chacin in this one, which should be enough for the Brewers to keep pace or take the lead. It's hard to sweep a team in a series and with Milwaukee in desperation mode in this one, we believe the value is on them this afternoon.
