There is one pick tonight.
Take LA Dodgers (-135) on the ML against Seattle Mariners risking 4.05% to win 3%.
(Hill and Ramirez must start for wager to have action)
The Dodgers seemingly broke out of their offensive funk last night in their 11-1 drubbing of the Seattle Mariners and we expect that momentum to carry over into tonight’s contest. At this point in the season, every game count and this is one that the Dodgers should win, especially since they will have a huge edge on the mound as Rich Hill squares off against Erasmo Ramirez.
Rich Hill has been nothing short of dominant since the All-Star break, going 3-0 with a 1.78 over 5 starts. While pitchers usually regress while on the road, Hill has been nearly unhittable at Safeco Park in his career, going 4-0 with an ultra-impressive 0.39 ERA in 6 games (3 starts) in this ballpark. With those kind of career numbers, it is incredibly difficult to go against Hill in this situation.
Erasmo Ramirez meanwhile is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA in three starts with the Mariners this season and has allowed 17 hits and a whopping 9 walks in his 14 2/3 innings of work. Ramirez has also struggled in interleague games in his career as he is just 5-5 with a 5.57 mark in 21 inter-league matchups. The Mariners haven't had much success when he has taken the mound against quality teams as they are 3-14 in Ramirez's L17 starts vs. teams with a winning record.
Los Angeles has been one of the best teams in baseball in Interleague play as they are 25-12 in their last 37 inter-league matchups and Hill should have a decided advantage on the mound. These are still reasonable odds to lay with a team that should win this game convincingly. The value is on the Dodgers tonight.
