There is one pick tonight.

Take Texas Rangers (-105) on the ML against Oakland Athletics risking 3.15% to win 3%.
(Graveman and Fister must start for wager to have action.)

The Oakland A's have been playing extremely well over the last two weeks, having won 8 of their last 9 games. Meanwhile the Texas Rangers have been struggling, losing 5 of 6. While the Rangers are struggling as a team, they should have the advantage on the mound when Kendall Graveman squares off against Doug Fister.

Kendall Graveman has been absolutely terrible this year. He is 0-4 with an embarrassing 10.08 ERA and WHIP of 1.88! In his last start against the Boston Red Sox, his team jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead, but then got blasted for six runs, all earned, and gave up the lead for his team. They went on to lose the game 7-3. He simply cannot be trusted against any team at this point. His best start of the season up to this point was against this very same Texas Rangers team on April 3rd in which he gave up four earned runs in just five innings of work and lost the game 4-1, and that was his best start! He has given up at least five earned runs in every other start and has yet to get past the fifth inning in any start. He has had a couple of games where his team has even given him plenty of run support and he has still found a way to lose the game and we expect the same to happen here tonight.

Doug Fister is a veteran pitcher who will be making the start after spending 10 days on the DL for a hip injury. He is certainly no stranger to spending time on the disabled list, and while his best days are behind him, he is certainly a serviceable pitcher within the rotation. He likely won't dazzle the A's with finesse or speed, but he does have experience and should be able to quiet down a red-hot Oakland lineup.

The Rangers aren't going to be a great team this season, but this is a winnable game for them, especially in Arlington and looking to avoid a sweep in the series. Graveman can't be trusted given the way he has been pitching and at near even odds, the home team has value.
