There is one pick tonight.

Take Miami Marlins (+235) on the ML against LA Dodgers risking 2% to win 4.70%.
(Garcia and Beuhler must start for wager to have action.)

The Miami Marlins are a rebuilding team this season and appear to be in 'tank' mode, despite the season only just starting. They have lost 10 of their last 12 games and given their recent stretch, the betting public has wisely been shying away from them. That being said, the Marlins are not going to lose every game this season, and the key to backing a team like this is to determine where their best value spot is to potentially pull out a victory. We believe this matchup is one of those situations.

Jarlin Garcia is one of the lone bright spots on the Marlins roster this season and has been nearly flawless on the mound in his two starts this season. Over 11 innings on the hill, the lefty has given up zero earned runs and just a single hit! He has been impressive to say the least, and while he certainly can't remain flawless for the entire season, he is hurling with a ton of confidence at the moment, which opens up value backing his team.

The Dodgers are the reigning NL Champs and are obviously the better team in this matchup, however, they will be sending a rookie to the hill who hasn't exactly been stellar in his opportunity on the big stage. Walker Buehler will be making his major league debut as a starter tonight. however, in 8 relief appearances last season he surrendered 8 runs on 11 hits in just 9 innings! There is no question that the 23-year old will be nervous when he takes the hill tonight and there is certainly a possibility that he lets his nerves get the best of him, especially if he starts to struggle on the mound.

These odds are far too hefty to be backing a rookie on the mound tonight. Even if the Marlins don't manage to pick up the win, getting more than 2-to-1 on your investment is simply worth the risk.
