There is one college football pick today!

Take Georgia Tech +3 spread against Tennessee for 3% of the bankroll.

Once again, the Tennessee Volunteers come into the season with extremely high expectations and it is widely believed that this is finally the season where Tennessee puts it all together. We're not quite buying it. Year in and year out everyone hears about how talented the Volunteers are and every year they have failed to live up to the lofty expectations placed upon them and this year they have to replace a ton of talent from a season ago.

The Volunteers will need to replace star quarterback, Josh Dobbs this season and replacing a player like Dobbs is no easy feat. They also lost RB Jalen Hurd late last season when he ultimately decided to transfer from the University. The offense is expected to look much different this season than in years past. They also lost a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball, most notably their best pass rusher in Derek Burnett. Their defense will also have a much different look this season and that may not necessarily be a good thing. The Volunteers struggled at times last season, especially against the run and tonight they are set to play arguably the best rushing team in the nation year in and year out.

The Georgia Tech offense is expected to be prolific once against as they run the vaunted Triple-Option. While many have stated that the loss of QB Justin Thomas will be a big loss, Georgia Tech has proven that anyone who knows how the offense runs can be placed under center and have success. The Yellow Jackets have a clear option at #1 as Matthew Johnson brings in some experience and is a much bigger runner than Thomas was. He should be able to lead this offense with very little regression from a season ago.

Georgia Tech also brings back all of their skill players in the secondary and their pass defenses is projected to be one of the best in the ACC. If they can win the battle in the trenches on defense and slow down the ground game, it will make moving the ball on offense incredibly difficult for the Volunteers.

While the Volunteers have had a lot of time to prepare for this style of ground attack, until it is seen at full game speed, no team can really prepare completely for it. It is a style that requires extreme defensive discipline and with the numerous holes that the Volunteers have had to fill, the Yellow Jackets should be able to find success in the later stages of this contest once the defense has started to fatigue.

While this is technically a neutral-site game, it is being played just 2 miles down the road from the Georgia Tech campus and will likely bring with it a ton of Yellow Jacket supporters. There are a lot of question marks surrounding both team breaking in new signal callers, however, Georgia Tech will be less reliant on Johnson to win the game through that air than Tennessee will with their signal caller. Georgia Tech can lean on their strength of their rushing attack and that will be enough to not only keep this game close, but win this game outright. We believe the wrong team is favored in this contest which places a ton of value on the Yellow Jackets.
