There is one pick tonight.

Take Houston Astros (+112) on the ML against Los Angeles Dodgers risking 3% to win 3.36%.
(Verlander and Hill must start for wager to have action)

The momentum of this series significantly shifted in Game 5 as both teams battled back and forth, but ultimately it was the Houston Astros who came up with the clutch hits when they needed it most. After being spotted a 4-0 lead in the early going, Clayton Kershaw simply couldn't get things done as he managed to give up 6 earned runs in just 4.2 innings of work and allowed Houston to tie the game. From there it was a back and forth contest and the Dodgers appeared to have all the momentum as they scored 3 runs in the 9th to send the game to extra innings. Their momentum was halted there as Houston's Alex Bregman knocked in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th to give his team a 3-2 advantage in the series.

This has been a closely contested (and wildly entertaining) series to watch, however, the Astros have been the ones who have turned things on as of late and are finally starting to play like the AL's best team, much like they had the entire season. Their confidence has to be at an all-time high heading into this contest, knowing that they are just 9 innings away from winning the World Series. Houston is seeing the ball extremely well and their offense is clicking on all cylinders. While the Astros are brimming with confidence, the Dodgers are likely a bit deflated. Their rally in Game 5 fell short, which will likely have a negative effect on the players' mindset ahead of this pivotal Game 6, but the fact that the Dodgers have dropped two games of this series in extra-innings, will surely affect their demeanor even more.

We also believe that the Astros will have the advantage tonight on the mound as Justin Verlander takes on Rich Hill. Verlander has been spectacular and has had a career resurgence since being traded to the Astros. He is pitching with a level of confidence that we have not seen since 2011 when he won the Pitching Triple Crown and expect him to continue his torrid pace tonight in Game 5. All the pressure at the moment is on the Dodgers who will be looking to stave off elimination in front of their home crowd. The Astros know that they can 'afford' to lose this contest and still have another opportunity to close the series. Without the pressure of this being an elimination game, we expect the Astros to play much more loose and free than their counterparts which should give them yet another advantage in this contest.

The oddsmakers have listed the Dodgers as the favorites in this contest simply because of their motivation to stave off elimination and force a Game 7, however, we don't believe that will be enough. There are other intangibles at the moment that heavily favor the Astros and it's those intangibles that we believe are going to be the difference in this contest and help the Astros claim their first World Series in franchise history!
