There is one pick today.

Take Detroit Tigers (-108) on the ML against Chicago White Sox risking 3.24% to win 3%.
(Zimmermann and Gonzalez must start for wager to have action)

Jordan Zimmermann has been far from perfect this season. He is in the midst of one of the worst starts to the season in his career, however, we believe he is a much better pitcher than his numbers have shown this season. We saw glimpses of that in his last start as he held the red-hot Houston Astros' bats in check before two untimely mistakes cost him. We expect Zimmermann to build on that performance as that could have been the start he needed to begin to turn things around. Despite his struggles, Zimmermann has actually performed well against the White Sox in his career and owns a lifetime 4-1 record in 6 career starts.

The Detroit Tigers have one of the most potent lineups in the entire league, with veteran hitters in nearly every spot of the lineup. Despite the power that they possess, their bats have been somewhat quiet. They have managed to string together hits and get runners on base, however those 'timely' hits needed to drive those runners is has very much eluded this team this season. In the first game of this series, the White Sox pitchers managed to walk 9 Tigers' runners, however Detroit simply could not capitalize. They have left more men stranded on base than any other team in the league this season and it's only a matter of time before things start to fall into place and they start converting those opportunities into runs. Their bats finally got going yesterday in the 7th inning and we expect that momentum to carry over into this contest this afternoon.

The Detroit bats are no strangers to Miguel Gonzalez. The former Orioles' pitcher has struggled against the Tigers in his career, having gone just 2-5 with an ugly 8.08 ERA and 2.129 WHIP in 8 career starts. The Tigers have hit him hard in the past and with momentum on their side now, we wouldn't be surprised if Gonzalez struggled in this contest as well. Even if Zimmermann continues to struggle on the mound, the damage that the Detroit bats do to Gonzalez should be enough to cover for any of Zimmermann's mistakes as the Tigers go on to grab the win and split the series with the Pale Hose. The value is on Detroit in this contest.
