There is one pick tonight.
Take the OVER 8 total runs in Baltimore Orioles vs. Houston Astros for 3% of the bankroll.
(Miley and Keuchel must start for wager to have action)
Tonight's matchup between the Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros has all of the makings of a high scoring game. Not only have both Wade Wiley and Dallas Keuchel struggled against their respective opponents, but this is Keuchel's first start since coming off of the disabled list and likely won't be as sharp in the early going as we have been accustomed to seeing.
Houston won last night's series opener by a score of 2-0. While it may have been a low scoring game, it is a bit deceiving given the number of hits both clubs managed. The teams combined for 17 total hits, yet managed to only plate 2 runs as both teams left a combined 14 men stranded on base! Had any number of those hits came at a time when runners were in scoring position, we could have seen a much higher score than we did. We expect to see both teams capitalize much more often tonight than they did in yesterday's contest.
Houston has the league leading offense and has the ability to put up runs in bunches. Meanwhile, the Orioles themselves have a very potent lineup with the likes of Chris Davis and Manny Machado at the heart of the order. Both teams have shown their ability to put runs on the board and given the struggles of both pitchers, we wouldn't be surprised to see the runs pile up in the early innings of this contest.
Both team's bullpens have been shaky at best this season, but Baltimore's has nearly become a liability for them on the road. Their pen has a combined 5.18 ERA in just 81 innings. What is most alarming is the fact that of the 19 homeruns that their pen has given up, 14 of those have come on the road. With the Houston bats looking to rebound from last night's performance, a homerun with runners on base could certainly change the tide of this contest and help the final score. With last night being a low scoring game, we expect the gears to shift as both offenses find a rhythm and turn this contest into a shootout which finds its way just over the posted total.
