The best value is on the baseball diamond tonight.
Take Milwaukee Brewers (-120) on the ML against Boston Red Sox risking 3.6% of the bankroll to win 3%.
(Anderson and Kendrick must start for wager to have action)
The Red Sox may be the better team but on this particular night, they are at a disadvantage. That's because Kyle Kendrick is set to toe the rubber for them and is not quite up to the task. Kendrick is a hardworking individual but the former long-time Phillies pitcher is not quite good enough for the Majors at this point in his career and was never anything more than a back-end of the rotation guy, even in his prime. He spent all of last season in the minors, never making a start at this level! This year he signed with the Red Sox and has quickly shown why he was stuck in Triple-A.
Kendrick lasted just 4 innings in his MLB debut this season, his first start at this level since 2015. In those four frames, he gave up 6 earned runs on 8 hits! He looked like the same old hittable pitcher that the Phillies decided to part ways with a couple of years ago, deeming him not good enough for their struggling side. He'll at some point put together a couple of decent outings of course but we don't necessarily see it coming today, especially against a Milwaukee offense that is seeing the ball well. The Brew Crew crossed home plate eleven times in yesterday's win over Boston and have found their groove!
Chase Anderson is far from special, but he is an established major league pitcher, unlike his counterpart, Kyle Kendrick. Anderson has actually fared very well so far this season, surrendering only one home run in nearly 35 innings! Against a powerful offense like the Red Sox, that trend may end tonight but nonetheless, we believe he's more likely to outlast Kendrick and give his team the best chance for another 'W'. If Boston wants to win this game, they're gonna have to get timely hits and rely on their bullpen. Unfortunately for them, many of their relievers have been used extensively in recent times, including in last night's game where Drew Pomeranz made an early exit after just 4 innings!
Keon Broxton had 4 RBI's in yesterday's game and all four runs came on 2-outs! For a talented young player that has yet to prove his worth at this level, that is a big confidence-booster. There's been a lot of hype surrounding him for a couple of years now but up until now, he's been quite inconsistent and struggling for form. Last night's victory might just be the turning point for him, a player that the Brewers have been very patient with and rightly so, given his potential. On the other hand, Jackie Bradley Jr. is set to make the start for the Red Sox at CF, having watched each of the last 3 games from the bench! Bradley Jr. is a good player and will at some point turn it around but to say he's slumping to start the year would be an understatement. He's hitting just .140 since coming off the DL list back on April 21st! Last but not least, Hanley Ramirez will man 1st base in today's matchup for the first time this season having been the designated-hitter pretty much all season! We believe he might just be a bit rusty with his defense and that might even affect his ability with the bat, given that his routine and preparation for tonight's game will have been a bit different than what he's done for the last month.
