There is one pick today.
Take San Diego Padres (-101) on the ML against Cincinnati Reds risking 3.03% to win 3%.
(Feldman and Richard must start for wager to have action)
The San Diego Padres have been one of the more inconsistent teams in the league this season, however, we believe they once again have a favorable matchup against another struggling team, the Cincinnati Reds. San Diego managed to take Game 1 of this series last night rater easier, coming away with a 9-3 victory. For the most part, the Padres offense has been rather docile this season, however, they have recently been able to find their groove and have scored an average of 6 runs over their last 4 games. Tonight, we believe the Padres will continue to swing the hot bat as they will be facing a struggling Scott Feldman in this matchup. Feldman has been struggling this season and comes into this matchup just 2-2 with a 5.26 ERA in 5 road contests.
Clayton Richard will toe the mound for the Friars in this contest and while he hasn't fared much better than his counterpart this season, Richard should hold a distinct advantage over the Reds lineup tonight. Cincinnati has struggled against left handed pitching this season. In fact, they are just 3-11 in their 14 appearances against southpaws. Even with Richard's struggles this season, we're not completely convinced that the Reds will be able to capitalize in this matchup.
This is a matchup between two struggling teams and because of that, we are getting a decent price on a team that should hold multiple advantages in this contest. The Padres have the momentum from last night's victory and we expect that it will carry over into tonight's matchup as they win consecutive games for the first time this month. The value is on the home team in this contest.
