There is one pick today.

Take Colorado Rockies (+171) on the ML against Chicago Cubs risking 3% to win 5.13%.
(Chatwood and Lester must start for wager to have action)

The Colorado Rockies and Chicago Cubs open up a 4-game series tonight at Wrigley Field. The Rockies are listed as sizable underdogs in Game 1, however we don't believe they will have as much of an advantage as the oddsmakers think. After winning the World Series a season ago, the price to lay on the Cubs is at an all-time high and given the perception of the Rockies over the last couple of seasons, we believe that they are being under-valued this year and that the market has yet to catch up with exactly how good they have been playing. Just last month they managed to win 2 of 3 from Chicago when they squared off in Colorado.

A big reason for the Rockies past struggles has been due to the liability of their pitching staff. This season however, their pitching has greatly improved while their offense continues to be one of the more powerful lineups in the Majors. Tyler Chatwood will take the mound tonight and he has pitched well against the Cubs in his career, having held the Chicago bats to just 1 earned run over 12 career innings. Chatwood has also been stellar on the road this season, and owns a very respectable 2.68 ERA. If Chatwood can once again limit the damage of the Cubs' offense, that should leave the door open for the Colorado offense to not only keep things close, but also potentially win this matchup.

Cubs' starter, Jon Lester has been great at home this season, posting an impressive 2.15 ERA at Wrigley, however, he is not invincible. The last time he faced a high-powered offense, he managed to give up 6 earned runs on 7 hits (2 homeruns) against the LA Dodgers. Colorado has just as much, if not more firepower than LA and could potentially get to Lester tonight if he does not bring his 'A' game.

Colorado has been a solid road team this season, going 21-10 on the highway to date. This is not the same Rockies team as year's past and should not be overlooked in this series. These teams are very evenly matched and with a couple of breaks, Colorado has the potential to pull off the victory. They are sizable favorites in this contest, however, we believe the odds should be much closer; because of that, the reward of them pulling off the victory far outweighs the risk in this situation. If we are correct with our assumptions, it provides a very nice return on our investment.
