There is one pick today.

Take New York Yankees (-112) on the ML against Boston Red Sox risking 3.36% to win 3%.
(Sabathia and Porcello must start for wager to have action)

One of the most storied rivalries in all of baseball resumes tonight as the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees in Game 2 of their 3-game set.

Last night, it was the Boston Red Sox who picked up the win in Game 1 as they clobbered Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka for 5 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings. The Bronx Bombers held the Sox scoreless over the final 4 frames and managed to keep the game close before ultimately falling by the score of 5-4. We believe for tonight's matchup, not only will the Yankees have revenge on their mind to give them an added motivation, but they should also hold the advantage on the mound with lefty CC Sabathia.

Sabathia has had somewhat of a career resurgence this season and has been pitching his best ball in years. Over his last 4 starts he is 4-0 with a very respectable 1.47 ERA. He is 6-2 on the season, and not only has he been pitching well as of late, but part of his success has been due to his offense giving him quality run support. The Yankees are 9-2 overall when CC has taken the mound this season and their offense should be able to provide plenty of support tonight when they take on a struggling Rick Porcello.

Porcello may have won the CY Young award last season, but he certainly hasn't lived up to that billing this season. It has been a down year for Porcello who simply has not been able to regain his magic from a season ago. Porcello is just 3-7 with a 4.24 ERA in 12 starts on the year, including going just 1-2 with a 3.09 ERA in five starts on the road. Yankees Stadium has been a place where Porcello has struggled in his career having gone 1-3 with a 4.78 ERA in five starts here at Yankee Stadium. Given the way that he has been throwing the ball and the fact that the Yankees will be eager to pile on the runs in this contest, we don't see Porcello changing his recent fortunes in this contest.

The Yankees and Red Sox typically play each series close and we would expect nothing different tonight. With the Sox having captured a close win in Game 1, we expect the Yankees to return the favor for them tonight. CC should continue to pitch well and keep the Boston offense at bay, while Porcello makes a couple of key mistakes that the Yankees' bats capitalize on which evens up the series. The value is on the home team in this contest.
