There is one pick today.

Take Washington Nationals (+125) on the ML against LA Dodgers risking 3% to win 3.75%.
(Gonzalez and Ryu must start for wager to have action)

Two of the top teams in the National League square off tonight as the Washington Nationals take to the road and visit the Los Angeles Dodgers. This will be the first meeting between the teams since last year’s NL Division Series, a series in which the Nationals owned a 2-1 series lead before the Dodgers rallied and knocked off Washington in (somewhat) surprising fashion. There is no question that Washington will be motivated by their early exit as the hands of the Dodgers and will be out for revenge to open this 3-game series.

Gio Gonzalez will take the mound for the Nats and has pitched well thus far this season, going 4-1 overall with a 3.03 ERA in 11 starts. Interestingly enough, three of his 4 runs this season have come on the road and he is certainly no stranger to pitching in Dodger Stadium. The last time Gio Gonzalez pitched at Dodger Stadium was last October when the Nationals won Game 3 of the NLDS to take a 2-1 series lead. He wasn't great in that game, giving up three runs before being lifted in the fifth after a Carlos Ruiz two-run shot. There is no question that he would like to atone for that performance, and the Dodgers are one team that he has had quite a bit of success silencing in his career. Gonzalez is 3-1 with a 2.23 ERA and WHIP of 1.018 in 6 career starts against Los Angeles. The Nationals are also 4-0 in Gonzo's past five outings against National League West opponents.

For the Dodgers, they will send lefty, Hyun-Jin Ryu to the mound for his 9th start of the season. This will be his first career starts against the Nationals, but we don't believe that will necessarily give him an advantage. The Nationals have pounded left handed pitchers at an alarming rate this season and will now face a lefty who has been making a habit of giving up the long-ball. Ryu gave up only 8 homeruns all of last season and through just 8 starts this season has already matched that total. The Dodgers have also dropped 9 of Ryu's last 11 starts.

Washington will receive an added boost to their lineup tonight as Bryce Harper is scheduled to return from his suspension following the high publicized issue with Hunter Strickland. Harper will no doubt be chomping at the bit and extremely motivated when he steps into the batter's box tonight and that could spell disaster for Ryu on the mound. Both of these teams are certainly two of the best in the National League at the moment, however the Nationals are riding a ton of momentum and we believe they get their manner of revenge and open up this series with a victory.
