There is one pick today.
Take the OVER 10.5 total runs in Baltimore Orioles vs. Minnesota Twins for 3% of the bankroll.
(Jimenez and Gibson must start for the wager to have action)
For those who are looking for a classic pitchers' duel, this will likely not be the game for you. Pitching has been an issue for both teams this season and in this particular matchup, we get arguably the worst pitchers in both teams' rotation as Ubaldo Jimenez squares off against Kyle Gibson.
Jimenez has been beat up this season and comes into this contest 3-4 with an embarrassing 7.26 ERA and WHIP of 1.61. Over his last three starts he has been even worse as his ERA has ballooned up to 8.122 ERA during that span. He hasn't pitched well on the road this season, going just 2-4 with a 7.57 ERA. During the day, hasn't been much better for the veteran as his ERA during day games is 6.33. Those games have averaged just over 12 runs per contest.
Kyle Gibson hasn't pitched as bad as Jimenez; however, he hasn't been great and comes into this contest 5-6 with a 5.82 ERA and WHIP of 1.71. He has struggled at home this season as he is just 2-4 with a 6.37 ERA at home. Like his counterpart, he has struggled in day games, owning a 6.10 ERA. His eight home starts have averaged 12.38 runs per game on the year.
There should be plenty of offense in this matchup as both teams' lineups have shown their ability to plate runs this season. While both teams have struggled, that should leave the door open for either team to win this game, but we expect that it will be a back and forth affair on the scoreboard throughout. For those who are fans of offense, should be in for a treat in this contest as both teams contribute to this matchup going Over the posted total. We wouldn't be surprised to see 15 or more runs scored in this contest this afternoon, which clearly provides value on the Over.
