There is one pick tonight.
Take Duke -7 spread against Florida State for 3% of the bankroll.
The Duke Blue Devils will look for revenge tonight as they host the Florida State Seminoles at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Senior Night. Florida State managed to won the first meeting of these two teams, 88-72 in Tallahassee.
Duke heads home tonight on a two-game losing streak, losing both games on the road at Syracuse and Miami. It's not too often that you see the Blue Devils lose two straight, let alone put themselves in a position to potentially drop a third. The Blue Devils have shown that they are an incredibly tough team to beat on their home floor, scoring an average of 85 points per game while holding opponents to just 68 points per game. We expect Coach K's team to come out extremely motivated in this contest to get back on the wining track and may have the perfect opponent to help them do so.
The Florida State Seminoles are a quality team, however their disparity on the road this season has been extremely telling. For a team that is averaging 84 points per game on the season, while on the road that number drops considerably. Florida State is averaging just 70 points per game on the road, which is 14 points less than their seasonal average! That type of loss of production is going to hurt them tonight against a team as defensively sound as the Blue Devils.
There has been a lot of talk surrounding the status of Grayson Allen tonight since sitting out Duke's last contest against Miami with an ankle injury. Even if Allen isn't ready to go tonight, we don't believe the loss will be as big as many are making it out to be. Duke is an incredibly deep team and Luke Kennard and Jayson Tatum have taken over as the team's top scorers. Amile Jefferson, who leads the team in rebounds, is also probable for this contest which still gives Duke an added advantage offensively.
This will likely be a back and forth contest in the early going, however Duke has much more to play for on the line in this contest and also has the revenge factor going for them. We simply can't see them dropping a third straight game and given Florida State's struggles on the road, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Blue Devils bounce back in emphatic fashion and come away with a convincing double-digit victory.
