There is one pick tonight.
Take Temple +9.5 spread against Villanova for 3% of the bankroll.
The Villanova Wildcats will be coming into this rivalry matchup with the Temple Owls ranked as the #1 team in the country after both Duke and Kansas suffered losses last week. Villanova is no stranger to being the top ranked team in the country, however, it does carry an added amount of pressure for the team to perform and against a much-improved and revenge minded Temple team, we wouldn't be surprised to see them less than sharp tonight.
The Owls come into this contest much improved from a season ago on both sides of the ball and could pose a unique challenge for the Wildcats unlike years' past. Temple has played an extremely tough schedule to date and will be the more battle-tested team in this contest already having not only faced but defeated the likes of Clemson, Auburn, and South Carolina. They feature two players on their roster with game-breaking talent in Shizz Alston Jr and Quinton Rose. They also have a severely underrated defense that has already held a Clemson team that is shooting 50% on the season to only 60 points, and also contained a potent Auburn offense this season. If Villanova doesn't bring their "A" game into this contest, they could be poised for an upset.
The Wildcats have owned this matchup in the series in recent history and that must be weighing on this Temple team. They will unquestionably be the more motivated team in this contest, looking to secure an upset over the number 1 team in the country in their own house and we believe they have the talent to make this game go down to the wire. Whether Temple actually has enough depth to pull off the outright upset, is debatable and something that we will find out tonight, however, we do believe they have enough talent and experience on both sides of the ball to at least keep this game competitive, in which case the points will prove to be valuable.
