There is one pick today.

Take Marquette +6 spread against Wisconsin for 3% of the bankroll.

To say that this has been a struggling start to the year for the Wisconsin Badgers would be an understatement. Outside of Ethan Happ, this team is simply not very good this season. As a whole, the Badgers are not playing well, losing six out of their last eight games. To their credit, they have played (arguably) the toughest schedule in the nation thus far this season, having already played four ranked opponents. The problem with that however, is they have lost them all and the physical and emotional toll that these contests have taken on the team is likely starting to pile up and will start to affect the confidence and morale of these young players.

The Wisconsin Badgers have always been a team that put an extreme amount of focus onto their play on the defensive side of the ball. They were always a tough team to score against, which wore teams down and allowed their offense to create separation. The issue this season however, is that the Badgers are not scoring many points. They are currently only giving up 63.6 points per game to their opponents, but on offense they are only scoring 66.4, ranking the 314th overall. That simply is not good enough, and they will have their hands full in this contest against an offensive machine in Marquette.

The Golden Eagles come into this matchup with quite a bit of momentum, having now won four out of their last five games with their lone loss in that stretch coming to a solid Georgia team. They are an offensively explosive team with a potent scoring attack that averages 82.6 points per game, ranking them 59th in the Country. Marquette will surely test the mettle of this Wisconsin defense this afternoon.

Wisconsin is really struggling offensively at the moment, averaging just 53.5 points in their last four games, while shooting less than 44% from the field in every game during that stretch. That is not a recipe for success going against a team that feature two players who are averaging over 20 points per game and shooting 47% from the field on the season. While the Wisconsin defense hasn't been giving up a ton of points, they are allowing teams to shoot 45% from the field against them, and with Marquette being as efficient as they are from the field, we wouldn't be surprised to see this game turn into a shootout. At the end of the day, Wisconsin will be fortunate to walk away from this game with a victory, but we can't see it being by any more than a bucket or two. The value is with the points in this contest, backing a team that has the potential to win this one outright.
