There is one pick today.
Take Atlanta Braves (-107) on the ML against Seattle Mariners risking 3.21% to win 3%.
(Dickey and Ramirez must start for wager to have action)
This series finale matchup between the Seattle Mariners and Atlanta Braves is one that we believe clearly favors the home team. The Braves managed to win Game 2 last night and even up the series and believe they hold a distinct edge on the mound in this contest.
Veteran knuckleballer, R.A. Dickey will take the mound for the Braves and has had a solid second half of the season. Over his last 11 starts he has a solid ERA of just 2.45. He is 6-3 at home this season with a respectable 3.50 ERA over 13 starts. The Braves have gone 7-2 in his last 9 when he has taken the mound at home.
The Braves lineup should be able to find some offense tonight as the Mariners send out Erasmo Ramirez to the mound. This is Ramirez's second stint with the team and will make his 5th start tonight. Overall, he has struggled on the road this season going just 1-4 with an inflated 6.06 ERA in 6 starts with opponents hitting an impressive .278 against him. The Mariners have also lost 16 of the last 23 times Ramirez has toed the rubber.
This is a matchup of two pitchers who have been heading in complete opposite directions. The way Dickey has pitched at home against the way Ramirez has pitched on the road, should give the Braves a clear advantage both on the mound and at the plate. The momentum Atlanta gained in last night's victory should carry over to tonight as Atlanta comes away with the series clinching victory.
