There is one pick today.

Take Kansas City Royals (-125) on the ML against Colorado Rockies risking 3.75% to win 3%.
(Duffy and Gray must start for wager to have action)

The Rockies are clinging to the top wild-card spot in the National League, although their play away from home hasn’t done them any favors as of late. Tuesday begins a six-game road trip, starting at Kauffman Stadium. Colorado, which owns a half-game lead over Arizona in the race for the top wild card and started the season as one of the best road teams in the league, amassing a 24-10 record, have dropped seven of 10 overall and 21 of its last 27 on the highway.

Colorado starting pitcher, Jon Gray also hasn't fared well on the road in his career, posting a 4-11 overall record with a 4.93 ERA over 26 starts. Colorado is just 6-20 when Gray has taken the mound on the road. This could be a long night for the Colorado pitching staff against a Kansas City team that is seeing the ball extremely well at the moment. Kansas City comes into this contest having won 5 of their last 8 games and are 6-2 in their last 8 matchups against Colorado in Kauffman Stadium.

Danny Duffy will take the mound for the Royals in this contest and while he is having somewhat of a down season, he has pitched well at home in his career and carries a 3.14 ERA at Kauffman Stadium this season. He has benefited from his team providing him the necessary run support as Kansas City is 35-16 in their last 51 games at home when Duffy has taken the mound.

This is an important game for the Royals as they are falling further and further back in the divisional standings, however sit just a game and a half back from the second and final Wild Card. Given Colorado's recent struggles on the road, this is the ideal opportunity for the Royals to pick up an important series opening win and potentially close the gap in the playoff standings. These are decent odds to lay with a team that always plays tough at home. The value is on the Royals in this contest.
