There is one pick today.

Take Boston Red Sox (-119) on the ML against New York Yankees risking 3.57% to win 3%.
(Pomeranz and Montgomery must start for wager to have action)

The most heated rivalry in baseball resumes tonight as the Yankees and Red Sox face off in the first of a 4-game set from Fenway Park. Boston managed to two of three from their series last week against the Yankees and knows what's at stake in this one as they visit New York again for a four-game set at the end of the month. Boston will look to extend their 4.5 game lead in the AL East and should have the advantage in this contest.

Southpaw Drew Pomeranz will take the mound for the Red Sox tonight and he has certainly hit his stride with this team and has become their most reliable starter in the rotation not named Chris Sale. He comes into this matchup having won his last two starts, allowing just 4 runs over his last 13 innings of work, while striking out 13. He has not suffered a loss since June 11 and has also surrendered more than three runs just once in his previous 11 outings.

For the Yankees, they will send rookie, Jordan Montgomery, to the mound tonight. Montgomery has pitched well in his rookie campaign; however, he does not have the same experience as his counterpart. He has also shown some struggles on the road this season and comes into this contest 3-4 with a 4.13 ERA in 11 road starts. He pitched admirably in his start against the Red Sox last weekend, in just his second career start, however, with the Sox having recently seen him pitch, we expect them to be much more prepared tonight and should have more success on the offensive side of the ball.

Both teams come into this game riding quite a bit of momentum, so something is going to have to give in this contest. The Red Sox managed to take 2 of 3 from the Yankees in the Bronx and we believe now that they are at home, they will be that much tougher to beat. The Red Sox also had yesterday off and should come into this contest much more rested than the Yankees, who would up in a competitive contest with the Mets and could come into this matchup just a bit more fatigued. Boston has managed to win 5 of their last 6 at home and are an impressive 11-2 on Friday's this season. These are decent odds to lay with a team that is playing on another level at the moment.
