There is one NBA pick tonight.

Take Detroit Pistons -4 spread against Phoenix Suns for 3% of the bankroll.

The Detroit Pistons will travel to Talking Stick Arena to take on the Phoenix Suns tonight and this is a matchup which we believe they will hold a couple of distinct advantages. The Phoenix Suns will be playing the second half of a back-to-back as they fell last night last night 124-121 at the Moda Center. Not only did the Suns ultimately lose a closely contested and emotionally deflating contest, but the matchup itself was a shootout which means that the players were consistently running up and down the court, trying to go score for score and expending excessive amounts of energy. Not only that, but after the loss the Suns had to get on a plane and travel back home to get ready to step back on the court for another contest less than 24 hours later! The emotionally draining loss, coupled with the travel put the Suns is a difficult position tonight. Against a physical team like the Pistons, we wouldn't be surprised if the Suns came out a bit flat in the early going and that fatigue played a role in this matchup, especially in the later stages of the second half.

Detroit, on the other hand, will come into this one well rested, but should also have a motivational edge as well. The last time the Pistons took the court, they were completely dominated and embarrassed in a 114-82 loss to the Clippers at the Staples Center. The Detroit players will no doubt be looking to atone for that performance and who better to take out their frustrations on than a physically tired and emotionally drained Phoenix team.

Looking at these two teams side by side, we believe that Detroit is the more polished group of the two at the moment and have seemingly developed much more chemistry than their counterparts. Phoenix is a young team with a lot of talented players, however they are still trying to find their cohesiveness together as a unit. At the moment, we believe Detroit is simply the better all-around team. They have also had quite a bit of success against Phoenix in the past as they are 20-8 ATS in the last 28 meetings including going 4-0 ATS in their last 4 trips to Arizona!

The Pistons should also have a personnel advantage tonight as the Suns might be without veteran big man Tyson Chandler. Andre Drummond is an absolute force in the post and we don't believe there is a player on the Suns roster tonight that will can stop him. This game may be close in the early going but we fully expect the Pistons to pull away in the second half as fatigued begins to set in for this Suns team. Detroit gets their first road win of the season tonight in what should be a less than advantageous spot for the Suns.
