The NBA All-Star break is here which means our focus is exclusively on college basketball until February 18th.
Sports Profit System has big plans for March Madness and has also done extremely well in the second half of NBA seasons in recent years. Our unrivaled 83-60 record last year, for example, was largely due to great results after the All-Star break! We're confident of another lucrative season when it's all said and done.
Take Rhode Island at +2 spread (buy half a point) against Dayton for 3% of the bankroll.
This is an extremely interesting matchup in the A-10 tonight as the red-hot Dayton Flyers travel to take on the Rhode Island Rams. Dayton is having an incredible season thus far and stands 20-3 overall and 10-1 in conference play. They come into this contest winners of 8 straight and with an impressive 20-3 overall (10-1 conference) record. During their winning streak, 7 of their wins have come by more than 6 points; however they did struggle a bit in their last contest on the road against Duquesne. Dayton was actually down by 12 with 6 minutes remaining before mounting what many would consider an improbable comeback. They ended that contest on a 19-5 run to pull off the two-point victory. The pressure of such a long winning streak may be getting to this team and they face another tough test tonight against a Rhode Island team that is starting to gain some momentum.
The Rhode Island Rams have taken somewhat of a step back this year, however much of it has to do with the early season injury to their star player, EC Mathews. The Rams have since learned to play without Matthews in the rotation and come into this game on a two game winning streak of their own. This is a team that has been incredibly stout on the defensive end ranking 22nd in the nation in total defense and 248th in scoring average. They also have a well balanced attack on the offensive end with 5 players averaging in double figures, led by Jarvis Garretts who averages 13.3 points per game.
Rhode Island has proven to be an incredibly tough team to defeat on their home court and the Flyers have experienced that first hand. Dayton has lost their last 6 straight in Kingston and has not notched a victory in this building since a 56-49 win back in 2005! With the Flyers being on their longest streak in 9 seasons, this is the ideal situation for them to stumble and we believe they will do just that. This should be a highly competitive contest and the oddsmakers expect the defenses to be the stars of the show given the semi-low total they have assigned to this contest. If that is indeed the case and they are correct, points will be hard to come by. Dayton has struggled in this building and we believe the Rams have the capability to win this game outright and pull off the "upset". If the Flyers somehow break their losing streak in this venue and manage to capture an elusive victory, we believe it will be by the slimmest margins, which makes the points that much more precious. The value lies with the home team in this contest.
