There is one pick tonight.

SPS would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy holiday season!

Take Pittsburgh Steelers -5.5 spread against Baltimore Ravens for 3% of the bankroll.

The Steelers and the Ravens are old rivals and will battle it out for the AFC North title! There's certainly no love lost between these two sides and with so much to play for, this matchup should be a very physical one on Christmas day. Not only are both franchises firmly in the hunt for a Wild Card spot, they'd like to ideally make it simpler on themselves by winning the division and adding to their trophy cabinets. While there will be no lack of desire or motivation on either side, one team is definitely more talented than the other.

Pittsburgh has the more balanced offense and that should pay big dividends in this contest. Baltimore has struggled to run the ball all season and that makes them rather one-dimensional at times. Add in the fact that Joe Flacco has not exactly been a model of consistency and that means they tend to live and die by his performances and more frankly by the the propensity of some officials to throw pass-interference flags. Mike Tomlin's Steelers on the other hand have arguably the best running back in the business in Le'Veon Bell and an offense line that allows him to find holes.

Baltimore does have an edge in the kicking department with Justin Tucker being one of the very best in NFL while Chris Boswell has had his fair share of shortcomings but that is about the only edge the Ravens have in this matchup in our opinion. Furthermore, Boswell finally gained some much needed confidence last week when he hit 6 field goals to tie a franchise record! With his self-esteem high, it wouldn't surprise us if he put in a good shift. Of course, Mike Tomlin and company have often elected to go for 2-point conversions instead of PATs after scoring a touchdown and are proficient at that.

Let's also not forget that this is a 'revenge' game for the team from Steel city. They were beaten by Baltimore earlier this season and have lost 5 of the last 6 matchups overall. That isn't a fact that sits well with this ambitious squad. Pittsburgh has a great record in this type of situation under the leadership of Mike Tomlin and has also been nearly automatic against the spread in the month of December in recent years. Consider the fact that they have covered 9 of 10 spreads in this month over the last 3 seasons and you can see why sharp money is backing the favorites to not only avenge that earlier loss but to do so in style. It's also worth noting that the Steelers are 9-4 ATS as a favorite this season! Lay the points with Pittsburgh as they win this game by 2 field goals or more unless a backdoor cover happens.
