There is one pick tonight.
Take Kansas City Chiefs -3 spread against Oakland Raiders for 3% of the bankroll.
There is no question that the Oakland Raiders have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the last month. They head into this nationally televised, primetime contest on a 6-game winning streak, holding notable victories over the Broncos, Bills, and Panthers during that span. Interestingly enough, their last loss has come at the hands of their opponents tonight, the Kansas City Chiefs.
While a lot of the talk around the league has been the Oakland Raiders offense, in particular, the play of QB Derek Carr, it's worth noting that the Kansas City Chiefs have been just as (if not more) impressive than the Raiders as of late. Kansas City has (quietly) won seven of their last 8 games and have done so behind a stifling defense that has created more turnovers (25) than any other team in the league. Despite their offense being somewhat underwhelming, they are still a team that simply finds ways to win football games. They are arguably the most fundamentally sound team in the league and we don't believe they are necessarily getting the respect that the surely deserve.
The Chiefs managed to take care of the Raiders fairly easily earlier this season and did so on the road. Now playing in the extremely loud Arrowhead Stadium, they will surely have that much more of an advantage. The Chiefs have managed to win four straight against the Raiders and as impressive as Carr has been this season, he is just 1-4 against the Chiefs in his career, with a completion percentage of 57.7. There is also no other team in the league that Carr has thrown more interceptions against (5). It's going to be cold on the field tonight and that will likely effect the passing attack of Carr. The Kansas City defense has been nothing short of stifling this season and we believe they are going to be the difference in this contest. This is a short line to lay with the home team and we expect Kansas City to snap the winning streak of the Raiders and come away with the ATS cover in the process.
