There is one baseball pick tonight.

In addition, an NBA pick has been released early, a day in advance, for Sunday.

Take Kansas City Royals (-105) on the ML against Seattle Mariners risking 3.15% to win 3%.
(Ventura and Miley must start for wager to have action)

The Mariners were fairly fortunate to come away with the victory over the Royals last night. Despite making 2 fielding errors and having only 1 hit the entire game, they somehow found a way to win! We expect a much different result in tonight’s contest. Kansas City has now lost 6 road games in a row and knows it must turn it around and do so quickly. They now have just a 12-10 record thanks to their road woes this season but this is a team that knows how to win, what it takes to win and will turn it around. It's nothing they're not capable of and we expect it to start with this matchup tonight.

The Royals should have the edge on the mound tonight as we feel that Ventura is the better starting pitcher. Ventura is 11-1 with a 3.03 ERA in his last 18 starts since being recalled from Triple-A last July. Kansas City has won 15 of those 18 games and he's coming off of an impressive outing his last time out! The Royals also have the much better bullpen and a fresh Wade Davis, who we believe is the best closer in the league, ready to be called into action.

For the Mariners, Wade Miley has been a hittable pitcher. Not only have Royals had great success against lefties this season and in recent years, Miley is still trying to get used to pitching at Safeco Field. He's only had 1 start in this ball park as a Mariner this season and that was a poor outing! Steve Cishek has closed out some games for Seattle this season but he's not looked that comfortable. He seems to lack confidence at times and sooner or later it'll catch up with them.

The Royals are a fundamentally sound team. They are patient at the plate and it is only a matter of time before they break out of their recent slump. The KC bats have feasted on left handed pitchers and are 11-1 against southpaws dating back to last season. This is the Royals chance to even up the series and make tomorrow's contest a rubber match for the series victory. Seattle had the pitching edge yesterday and tonight it will favor KC. At these short odds, the value is on the defending champs to pull out the win.

Other notable facts to consider:

  • Royals are 90-64 after a loss over the last 3 seasons!
  • Royals are undefeated against lefties so far this season, averaging 5.5 runs!
  • Seattle is a miserable 1-10 after shutting out an opponent at home over the last 3 years!
