No client suffers more than we do when on a cold streak for two very simple reasons: 1) We wager huge amounts on each game ourselves! 2) All results, whether good or bad, are displayed publicly on the nightly updated OUR PERFORMANCE page despite the fact that our honesty greatly reduces sales at such times.

Those considering jumping off would be making a BIG mistake and one that they will quickly regret! That's because there is in fact no better time to stay on board with the most credible handicapping service than after an unusual stretch.

Sports Profit System is 40-27 in NBA this season after going 1-1 yesterday.

Take Washington Wizards at +7 spread against Golden State Warriors risking 3%

The Warriors travel to the Verizon Center to take on the Wizards tonight. Golden State is arguably the best team in the league this season! They rank near the top of the league in all offensive categories and have sharpshooters that make for highlight reels on a consistent basis. Having said that, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have struggled with their shooting over the last 6 games however hitting 40.7% and 33% respectively! Golden State is a quality team but they are not invincible especially on the road as displayed in their recent trip to Indiana. The Warriors shot just 38.2% from the field in that contest. It is worth remembering that 8 of their 10 losses on the season have come away from the Bay area!

The Wizards were a team that was supposed to make noise in the Eastern Conference this season. They are still firmly in the playoff picture but have been struggling recently having dropped their last 3 games and 8 of their last 10! Those defeats have lowered their stock to a level where they are now being spotted 7 full points in a venue that they've often laid just as many points! Let's not forget that this is a club that is 20-9 as hosts and has enjoyed excellent home court advantage this season! Their recent woes will greatly motivate them for this battle. Golden State has proven to be the team to beat this season and they have a target on their back on a nearly nightly basis. Many are under-estimating this squad right about now but with a victory or a hard-fought close defeat, the Wizards can make a statement to the watching world. The Wizards are still a quality team and have a dynamic All-Star point guard in John Wall who is averaging 17.3 points and over 10 assist per game! Future hall-of-famer Paul Pierce is averaging 12.4 points and brings an incredible wealth of experience to this roster. The man from Poland, Marcin Gortat, is grabbing 8.1 rebounds while Brazilian veteran Nene Hilario is shooting 52.5 percent from the field this season!

The Warriors like to play "small ball" which stretches their opponents all over the court and usually ends up with Curry or Thompson shooting from beyond the arc. Steph Curry is probable for this game; however he is still limited with a foot injury. He sat out the game against the Pacers and although he will likely start tonight, his minutes may be limited and he is at less than 100% which could affect his performance. Setting your feet and elevating is critical when shooting the 3-ball and the knock he's carrying could throw his shot off slightly.

Given how both of these teams have performed recently, it's apparent that many are expecting the Warriors to bounce back and for the Wizards to continue struggling. The Warriors opened up as -4.5 favorites and we believe that was a much more reasonable line than what the books have on offer now which has been inflated all the way up to -7! The betting public viewed the short spread as favorable and money has come pouring in on the Warriors since Curry has been ruled as probable. This has inflated the spread nearly 3 full points from the opening number which in our opinion has created value on the capable home side. The Verizon Center is no easy place for a visiting team to play and given that they were last blown out here by the Cavaliers which prompted Randy Wittman to publicly call out his team, we are expecting a much better performance tonight!

Another factor that might give Washington the edge is that Golden State travels to Cleveland next for a potential preview of what many believe could be the NBA Finals! With such a big game against the Cavaliers on deck, the Warriors may be caught peeking somewhat ahead and Steve Kerr may opt to rest some starters in the 4th quarter to keep them fresh. All of that increases the probability of a backdoor cover even if this game isn't as competitive as we believe it will be. Against the best team in the West, we expect the Wizards to put forth a strong effort tonight and while they may ultimately fall short, we do believe they will keep this game close and should find a way to stay within this generous number.

Other notable facts to consider:

  • Golden State is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games!
  • The Wizards are 5-3 ATS after a double-digit loss this season!
  • The Wizards are 5-2 in home games when the total is between 205 to 209.5 points.
