After many comfortable and convincing
winners, we were a bit fortunate to cash in on our Philadelphia 76ers
ticket last night as they got off to a bad start and needed over-time
to cover the spread for us. The same way we've lost many close games
however, a win is a win and a loss is a loss and we're happy to take
a couple wins like this at last.
We are now an incredible 7-2 with our predictions
so far this week and have profited 10 units minus juice in the process! Our great run
from the previous weeks has continued and we have put ourselves in a
great position to make it 4 solid winning weeks in a row and the 3rd
one in the new year! Nothing but a disastrous Saturday and Sunday can
keep us from that now while a good weekend on the other hand would see
us enjoy one of the most lucrative weeks ever!
We have two College Basketball and 1 NBA play today and are risking
a total of 6% of our bankroll.
#1: Take Mississippi Rebels at -9.5 spread
against Arkansas Razorbacks risking 2 Units (1:45pm)
Mississippi has quietly moved their way up
to a tie for first place in the SEC. Ole Miss appears to be for real
this year and they are proving it in convincing fashion. As a team Mississippi
is averaging 82.8 points, 12.9 assists, and they are shooting 44.9 percent
from the field. On the defensive side they are only allowing 64.6 points
while holding their opponents to just 38.6 percent shooting. Mississippi
is also a perfect 9-0 at home this season.
Arkansas has yet to win a road game this season
and they are just 2-5 against teams with a RPI better than 100. As a team Arkansas is averaging 79.6 points, 15.8 assists, and they
are shooting 46.1 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.4 points,
11.8 assists, and their opponents are shooting 41.9 percent.
Ole Miss is 5-0 against the spread in their
last five games overall, 19-7 against the spread following a win, and
8-1 against the spread in SEC games. Arkansas is 4-11 against the spread
in their last 15 games overall, 17-43 against the spread in their last
60 road games, and 1-5 against the spread in their last six games against
the SEC. Mississippi cruises to a double digit victory this afternoon.
Some Trends to Consider:

Arkansas is 2-14 SU in its last 16 games when playing on the road against
Arkansas is 1-13-1 ATS in its last 15 games when playing on the road

Mississippi is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
Mississippi is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home
Mississippi is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing Arkansas
Mississippi is 14-2 SU in its last 16 games when playing at home against
#2: Take George Mason Patriots at -16
spread against Hofstra Pride risking 2 Units (5:00pm)
The points look attractive in this game at
first glance but I feel it is the complete wrong side. Hofstra has played
well at home but there was a 15 point loss on the road to a very poor
Delaware team not too long ago. George Mason has a lot of talent and
a lot of size that is going to be tough for Hofstra to contend with.
Hofstra might be improved and George Mason has yet to hit their stride
but these teams aren't close in the talent department. I wouldn't be
surprised to see this as a 20 or 30 point blowout.
#3: Take New Orleans Hornets at -5 spread
against Golden State Warriors risking 2 Units (8:05pm)
This is the perfect spot to back the New Orleans
Hornets. With Eric Gordon back this is a completely different Hornets
team. Golden State still has a huge public following and we are going
to use that to our advantage tonight. Stephen Curry will be out of tonight's
game with an injury once again and now it looks as if David Lee may
be out for the game as well! Even if Lee does decide to play, with his
status at this point questionable, there is no way he is going to be
a 100% for this game.
The public loves this Golden State team and
they do not respect the Hornets at all and I believe that is a mistake.
This Golden St team is a completely different team without Curry in
the lineup. We saw just the other night Golden State fail to reach the
90 point mark. Take Curry and Lee out of the equation and you have a
recipe for a disaster. New Orleans makes a statement tonight and shuts
down and blows out this Golden State team. Lay the points.
