Sports Profit System lost its last 3 bets in May and yet celebrated another very lucrative month! Our 2014 profit ranks #1 among all handicappers and as always those have were patient and disciplined have been rewarded.

June promises to be an exciting month with the NBA Finals, FIFA 2014 World Cup and of course more Major League Baseball action! Like all periods, there will be both ups and downs but those who place only SPS bets will continue to enlarge their bankrolls over the remaining 7 months of the year.

There were originally 2 picks planned for Sunday but the price is now too steep on one and no longer presents sufficient betting value.

Individuals signing up for the 12-Month Access have profited the most since the cost is heavily discounted and equivalent to just 5 separate monthly memberships! It includes all SPS picks and allows the client to ignore temporary peaks and valleys and to focus on long-term success.

Clients that are serious about maximizing profit, are encouraged to take advantage of what works out to just $2.74 per day!

Take Houston Astros as underdogs on the Money Line (+105) against Baltimore Orioles risking 2%
(Feldman and Chen must start)

The Houston Astros will look to bounce back from their first loss in over a week as they conclude their 4-game series with the Baltimore Orioles this afternoon. Houston will attempt to do this behind the arm of former Orioles pitcher, Scott Feldman. Feldman will be looking for a little bit of revenge on his former team today. These two teams met on May 9th in a series that was played in Camden Yards. Feldman has performed very well this season and did so in that outing as well surrendering just 5 hits but 2 of those happened to be home runs and the Orioles secured a narrow 4-3 win. Feldman was not factored in the decision in that game. He is the ace of this team and knows this lineup very well. He should have an edge over his counterpart and the Astros usually up their effort when he's on the hill knowing he often gives them their best chance to win.

The Orioles will counter with lefty Wei-Yin Chen. Looking at Chen's win/loss record you will see that he is 5-2 on the season. However you will also notice that he has an 4.50 ERA! Chen has given up 5 earned runs in each of his last 2 starts and struggled recently. On the road this season, he has not been as good as his record indicates. Although he's 3-1 through 5 starts on the road, his ERA balloons up to 5.33 pitching out of Camden Yards! Chen is a hittable pitcher and makes mistakes. He's given up an astonishing 72 hits through 10 starts! That's an average of 7 hits per game (Astsos have averaged 9.5 hits over their last 8 games)! Chen has been very fortunate that he's been given a lot of run support to mask his mistakes on the mound. Had it not been for the above average number of runs by his offense, Chen's win/loss record would be far worse.  Problem for Chen now is that the Baltimore offense has been somewhat silenced over the last week. The Orioles have limped through many of their games and are averaging just 3 runs per game over their last 5 games.  Nelson Cruz has been the exception and If Chen finds himself in trouble again on the mound, he may not get the needed run support that he has received in the past to bail him out.

The Houston Astros, were on a very impressive winning streak prior to yesterday! They had been on a season high 7-game win streak and were seeing the ball very well averaging close to double digit hits on a nightly basis! Their offense was simply silenced by a great pitcher in Chris Tillman yesterday. The 29-year old from Taiwan, Chen, is not Tillman. He has given up 4 home runs in his last 2 starts. We expect the Astros to be able to muster some offense off of him and win the series. Take the underdogs.

Other notable facts to consider:

  • Baltimore has lost eight of its last 10 road games!
  • Baltimore is 2-5 in Game #4 of a series this season.
  • Baltimore is 0-4 in Chen’s last four starts as a road favorite!
